PKI & Crypto Engineer

Job description

You will join our Security & Anti-Fraud product team as an IAM Developer and will be working on the core of our security systems: our Apache based authentication server, CA/PKI infrastructure and our smartcard drivers and OS (PKI, CA, SSO).

Our technology stack for these components is mainly based on C & C++ for Windows and MacOS. Overlying applications are typically based on Java and SpringBoot.

You will be responsible to ensure that these security components, born decades ago but still vital to our business, are future proof. This by:

- gathering & absorbing knowledge from your colleagues (some of whom will soon retire)

- building an in-depth understanding of the architecture

- adapting the existing systems where needed

- contributing to the definition and implementation of future solutions to succeed the current ones

- applying & sharing best practices in the design, development & quality assurance of security systems

Requirements

Would you like to join a cross-functional and self-organizing Scrum team?

Do you have a proven track record in software development on secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems?

You know the ins and outs of authentication, authorization, certificates, encryption, and the likes?

Have you been developing 'close to the heart of operating systems' & are you known to have an affinity with kernels, drivers, middleware and even hardware?

Would you be fearless & interested to dive into a years old Private Key Infrastructure and tailor-made Certificate Authority?

Do you want to leave your mark on a system securing billions of euro’s worth in transactions every day?

Will you challenge our choices, present and past, and openly suggest improvements?

Do you get a kick out of sharing your knowledge and engaging with your colleagues to find the best possible solution to any problem you encounter?

Are you fluent in French & English (adding fluency in Dutch too would be a plus)?
