UgenTec is an international and fast-growing bio-IT company specialized in the development of diagnostic & workflow software for molecular laboratories. The UgenTec software solutions are situated on the challenging crossroad between IT, data science and biotechnology. We’re on a mission to heavily disrupt the rules in our market and are already recognized with multiple awards that confirm the value and promise of that mission. The UgenTec headquarters are located in Hasselt at the Corda Campus, where a diverse team of 50 people is bringing our SaaS software suite to the global market.

Your team

As a .NET engineer you'll join our development team in making the UgenTec vision a reality. We have a diverse team where you’ll be able to learn from others and where your experience will be required to meet our goals. The development team finds pride in applying proper software engineering techniques, while working towards results the agile way.

What you'll do

You’ll work as a .NET engineer maintaining the high standards of our FastFinder products and introduce new features regularly. You’ll work together with colleagues from various departments to ensure the continuous evolution of our products. As a .NET engineer at UgenTec, you are involved in every stage of our software development process.

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team

You are an outstanding software engineer that likes to go the extra mile, and expect your colleagues to do the same. Showing initiative with a proper sense of responsibility is your second nature.

You are experienced in, familiar with, or interested in most of the following:

• Clean code, object-oriented design

• .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core Web API

• Azure SQL Server, NoSQL

• Docker, Python, Microservices architecture, …

Was this list a bit much? We have a broad software stack that is constantly evolving. We do not expect you to be an expert from day one, but we do expect a motivated and can-do attitude.
